TIM TEBOW AND DSLR CINEMATOGRAPHY DELIVER AMAZING RESULTS TOGETHER

America's Most Popular Rookie Teams Up with Orlando-Based Production Company Fiction and The Future of Documentary Filmmaking

October 1, 2010 (MMD Newswire) -- Tim Tebow has had an interesting year, to say the least. When it came time for him to make the jump from University of Florida superstar to the NFL, he was met with a mountain of scrutiny, speculation and doubts about his ability to get the job done at the next level. Arguably, similar things can be said about today's HD DSLR cameras in the world of high-end production. But for Orlando-based production company Fiction, who partnered up with Tebow last December to produce a documentary on his path to the pros, bringing the Canon 5d Mark II and DSLR technology to the table was as clear a decision as the Denver Broncos choosing Tebow in the first round.

"Tim gave us the responsibility of documenting his life for a certain period of time and asked us to tell his story through his eyes," said Director Chase Heavener, President of Fiction. "When we thought about equipment, we thought about portability, picture quality, and something that would create the least amount of distractions for him and the people around him. The Canon 5d Mark II allowed us to be in places we would have never been able to be with other HD cameras, and the ability to capture natural moments that wouldn't have taken place had there been a massive camera and the crew that comes along with it."

The documentary takes place on the field and off, shadowing Tebow during his intense training for the NFL, endless public appearances, scouting combines, downtime at his family farm in Jacksonville, and culminating with a trip to New York City during the 2010 Draft. The constant movement and hordes of people surrounding the celebrity athlete demanded a set-up that was adaptable to his fast-paced life.

"What they are creating is going to be a look inside my life that only the Fiction team could have captured," says Tebow. "There wasn't another crew I would have let follow me as in depth as they did. And the way they blended into every surrounding was really fun to watch. The cool thing was that we became such great friends throughout the shoot that when it was over my brother, Robby, and I went through withdrawals not having those guys around 24/7. We became so comfortable around the cameras that there were times when I would be training and not see the crew all day, and later when I would ask where they had been they would say, 'Dude, we've been like three feet away from you the whole time.'"

The teaser for the documentary was released in mid-September and can be seen on www.fctn.tv or www.timtebow.com. Details of the release date are to follow. For more information about this press release, contact Fiction's General Manager, Tony Smith, at info@fctn.tv or 407.571.4102.
